Stamford Junior Wrestling Comes to Cloonan
The Stamford Junior Wrestling Club (SJWC) is excited to offer wrestling at all five Stamford Public Middle Schools, beginning in January 2012. Practices will be held in the Cloonan Class Room #219 after school from Tuesday, January 3rd until Tuesday, February 28th, on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays. Practice will start when school gets out and end in time for the late buses for those students eligible to ride the bus. Cloonan students will wrestle other Stamford Middle Schools in scheduled matches. We are currently scheduling in-school sign ups, but in the meantime please visit the website at www.stamfordwrestling.com , “Middle School Teams” page, for more information as well as to print out the required registration forms. September & October - Cross Country (open to all)
November - Intramural Indoor Soccer (First 60 with permission slips)
December - Intramural Basketball (First 60 with permission slips)
January - Interscholastic Basketball Try Outs (15 boys 7 15 girls)
February - Basketball Games
March - Intramural Volleyball (First 40 students with permission slips)
May - Afterschool Outdoor Soccer (Budget Pending)
Permission slips become available 1-2 weeks prior to program start – Announcements willl be made to all students during PE classes. Students can pick permission slips up at that time.
