WELCOME BACK

I am pleased and excited to welcome you to the 2014-2015 school year at CMS. Our motto for the year is "Better Than Ever." You will notice a new look about the building as new doors and windows are being installed. As a reminder, we will hold orientation for all sixth graders from 7:30 - 9:30am beginning in the auditorium.  Parents are welcome to attend and administration will be available for a Q and A while the children go off to their new classrooms. Buses will run the regular routes to support that schedule. Bus stop locations have been printed in the Advocate. You should also have received a letter with your child's Homeroom assignment.  The students will receive their class schedule when they meet with their homeroom teachers.

We look forward to providing your child with a strong and engaging program of academic and non-academic opportunities for growth. We also look forward to renewing and deepening our partnership with you in supporting your child's development.

  NEW SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTER

I am pleased to announce that work will begin on the construction of our new School Based Health Center. This new clinic will provide medical, dental and mental health services to our students. The new SBHC will take over Room 111. As part of the new construction there will be abatement of tiles in the adjacent spaces.  Please read the attached letter concerning that piece of the work.  We will keep you informed as the project progresses.

Best regards, David Tate

CONGRATULATIONS TO ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL LAUREEN MODY

Leave A Legacy

Leave A Legacy

Cement your child’s legacy at Cloonan by purchasing a commemorative plaque(s) to be permanently displayed in the school’s front entry.  Purchasing a plaque is a great way to leave a lasting student/family legacy on the walls of Cloonan, beautify the school, convey Cloonan school pride … all while raising funds to support the school.

Each 2”x 8” plaque can be customized with up to three lines of text. You can consider including your student or family name, year of graduation, nickname, sports played, or favorite saying.  You may also consider customizing a plaque for each of your Cloonan students (including former students), in honor of a special staff member, or in memory of a former student.  These plaques can be ordered at any time throughout the year.  Click HERE for the order form.   Help us build Cloonan’s Legacy Wall … order your plaque today!

STUDENTS' PLEDGE

SAID WITH YOUR HAND OVER YOUR HEART:

I am a work in PROGRESS.

I’m not done LEARNING and

I’m not done GROWING.

I can get SMART and IMPROVE.

Being “smart” is not a gift but a REWARD,

If I WORK HARD and DON’T GIVE UP.

I will not fear MISTAKES.

I will ask for HELP today so that tomorrow,

I will be a STRONGER, more CONFIDENT person.

I BELIEVE in ME.
